If you want to optimize your site, you can submit your URL to many other sites. In fact, I was told once that directory submission can largely help in improvement of the web traffic. This in turn, can also enhance the rank of a page in Google. Therefore, knowledge about the directory and its submission is very essential. I am also aware of the fact that there are some reliable web directories, but identifying them is quite difficult. However, I know that DMOZ is a reliable directory, and submission in such a directory can prove to be really beneficial.
