The Magic Kingdom is Walt Disney World’s flagship theme park. Opening in 1971 the Magic Kingdom was modeled after the original Disneyland in California. You enter the park on Main Street and walk down it towards the plaza where Cinderella Castle is located. From there you can branch off into Adventureland, Liberty Square, Fantasyland or Tomorrowland. Beyond those lands you’ll also find Frontierland and Mickeys’ Toontown Fair. While not the largest park at Walt Disney World the Magic Kingdom does has more attractions than any other park as well as the widest variety. From thrill rides to the Fantasyland dark rides to parades and fireworks and quiet places to sit, everyone will find something to enjoy at the Magic Kingdom.



The Magic Kingdom attraction guide lists and describes every attraction, dining location and shop in the park. All ratings are on a scale from 1 to 4, 4 being best. Attractions are rated relative to one another, so even a low rated Disney attraction might be better than many attractions outside of Disney. Ratings are very subjective so please do not use them as your only criteria when planning your visit.
The Magic Kingdom is divided into seven themed lands:
Magic Kingdom: Main Street

Main Street, U.S.A. is where Walt Disney World guests find themselves magically teleported to a turn-of-the-century mid-West town, bustling and alive with friendship, hard work and much play. Amongst the tall Victorian buildings painted in a vast array of pastels and other colors pleasing to the eye can be heard the constant “clop-clopping” of horses’ hoofs as they make their way up and down the busy street. The scent of caramel-dipped apples and freshly-made ice cream cones accompany the sounds of the local barbershop quartet and the always-grinning pianist playing his heart out here in this delicious slice of yesteryear. Main Street, U.S.A. pays homage to the surroundings of Walt and Roy Disney during their youths; a time and place that exist now only in snapshots and the memories of our elders.

Magic Kingdom: Adventureland

The steaming jungles and crowded walkways of Adventureland are where mystery and excitement dwell. As sunlight battles to make its way through the dense foliage of this tropical wonderland, guests are surrounded by sights and sounds only read about in classic tales such as “The Swiss Family Robinson.” From the jungle comes a volley of sounds - the loud and obscene chatter of monkeys and apes; the majestic roar of a lion (known to the natives as simba); the slow and deliberate hiss of a python lying in wait. The colors of the jungle canvas are a plethora of greens, blues and earth tones, all blending together to create a breathtaking display of nature. The landscape is littered with ancient ruins, temples and even a small village where all types of curios may be found. To the brave of heart, Adventureland is the perfect place… to be headed!
Magic Kingdom: Frontierland

Frontierland is the old West brought back to life as a wonderful river flows along its dusty banks lined with tumbleweeds, rattlesnakes and cactus. On the horizon, breathtaking buttes and natural rock formations form valleys and plateaus that most surely play home to hot mineral geysers and rainbow-filled caverns far below the earth. Once upon a time, this was a booming mining community, its water rich with gold. Families stroll along the wooden planks of the small town past saloons and a host of supply stores as the sheriff keeps the peace. In a place like Frontierland however, that’s not a difficult job. It’s easy to see just how rewarding - and simple life was, once upon a time in this town that time forgot. One might just sit a spell and sip slowly on a chilled sarsaparilla and listen to the lonely sounds of a harmonica being played across the river in a log cabin or the music of country bears mingling and moving about under the wild Western sky.
Magic Kingdom: Liberty Square

Liberty Square is Americana reborn at the Magic Kingdom, where fife and drum play as guests look on at the colonial architecture and smell the food that a nation has been raised on. Friendship abounds and where there is silence is also found formality. History is rich in Liberty Square, from stocks for the unruly to presidential speeches for the youth of today. Along the riverbanks of this grand slice of tradition sits a gothic manor, complete with gardens and a cemetery rich with its own heritage. All of the sights and sounds of Liberty Square combine to offer each Magic Kingdom guest a special and memorable experience that will have an impact for years to come. You don’t have to be American to appreciate this land - it speaks of the human spirit and general dignity of mankind in any tongue.
Magic Kingdom: Tomorrowland

Incredible. Ominous. Bursting with adventure. It’s Tomorrowland. Straight from the comic books of the 1940s into the supernova cosmos of millenniums to come, this land is by far, one of the most popular within the Magic Kingdom. Metallic spires laced with bright neon lighting cast incredible contrast to the rest of the park as guests may choose to travel back through time or teleport themselves into the darkness and mystery of the future. Excitement can be felt in this place where there is always a great big, beautiful tomorrow. Whether it’s to infinity or beyond, Tomorrowland is where you should be, today!
Magic Kingdom: Fantasyland

If there is one truly “magical” land found within the Magic Kingdom, it has to be Fantasyland. This enchanted place is home to flying pirate ships, mad tea parties and honey-crazed bears. Tucked away behind the protective walls of Cinderella Castle, Fantasyland resounds with childhood memories and the innocence of youth. Here, guests will find themselves amongst Walt Disney’s most beloved characters and their worlds of fancy. One can’t help but smile as they stroll through this place filled with music and laughter. Soothing architecture and whimsical landscaping combine to offer the perfect setting for the most “Disney” land of them all!
Magic Kingdom: Mickey’s Toontown Fair

When it’s summertime, there is no place more grand than Mickey’s Toontown Fair! Yes sir, this is the place to get good eats and child-sized treats while mingling with your favorite Disney characters in their own home town. Meet Goofy, Donald and even the Big Cheese himself, Mickey Mouse, in this storybook land that features eye-popping color and detail. Adventures for the kids abound here as parents will also find themselves feeling a bit younger as well! No state is complete without a fair, and Mickey’s Toontown Fair is certainly takes the first place prize for the Sunshine State of Florida!
