Boston (dbTechno) - According to reports out of many states in the U.S., it is not too late to go out and get a flu shot to protect yourself!
The U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) continue to stress the importance of getting a flu shot.
When you look at the history of influenza, February is actually one of the hardest hitting months.
If history repeats itself, this means that it may not be a bad idea to go and get a flu shot if you have not done so already.
The flu vaccine does take around a week or two before it is fully effective in the system of a person.
Once it is effective though, you are much better protected from the virus.
Each and every year, over 200,000 people are sent to the hospital due to complications involving the flu.
Those who face the highest risk include young children and the elderly.
So needless to say, it is not too late to go and get a flu shot!
