t's insane to think that in just 9 issues and an annual, Soule has managed to create a story whose massive scope touches almost every corner of the DCU. It's almost a cliché, but I mean it when I say nothing will be the same for Alec Holland after this.
Alec has seen the green for what it truly is, and it's not pretty. Soule takes the idea of a parliament to heart. The former Avatars are un-moving Bourgeoisie, power-hungry and hedonistic, and Swamp Thing wants nothing to do with it. His escape from the green is smart and brutal, but I was a little puzzled by his trump card. I can't help but wonder if this is a turning point for Alec. Did he end up betraying himself in order to break free? Time will tell. All I know is that he has made some powerful enemies along the way.
