What's the best software to design logos with?

Hi everyone,

I was wondering what is the best software to design logos with? I've heard a lot about adobe illustrator and corelDRAW but is there any other software that compares to those that also works on macs?

Also i have photoshop. In your opinion is that good enough to create good logos or does it limit you?

Hi, as a graphic design student, I am finding out that Adobe Illustrator is the better way to go to create a TEXT logo, but if you want a photo logo with text, i would suggest using photoshop for the photo tweaking, and Illustrator for the Text part, you can combine the two of them and use them together. Just do you image in PS and then import it using Bridge, or just import it directly into Illustrator, and then put your text portion on top, and save and viola there you go. Just a suggestion though

As my experience in designing I like to prefer adobe illustrator is most user friendly software for logo designing. In google you can find many of free software for logo designing easily. Mostly designers uses the adobe illustrator and adobe photoshop for this purpose.

As you have said, Adobe Photoshop is a great tool for logo design or also for any type of graphic designing. Actually, this is an easy tool for any web designing which has many interesting features. If you want to know about any other logo designing tool then you have to use CorelDraw.

There are many software available which is very useful for creating a web designing. But one of the best software is dream viewer. It is very useful for create a web design and logo for company.

I'd recommend Photoshop for general design and layouts. For specific graphics Illustrator is best.

i use photoshop to design everything.. banners or logos.. just layer it so u can easily modify ur logos

According to me, Adobe photoshop is a best software for making a logo of websites in easy way with some great effects. Nowadays, All web designers are uses adobe photoshop for designing logos and other web design related works because it better than other software.

Although there are many software used to create the logo and some of which are also mentioned over here, but most of the time I like to use Logo creator. Its one of the best software which I have ever used and would also like to recommend to rest of the members for this software.
