The first thing you can do to quickly reduce the number of bed bugs is seal up every small cracks that you can find in your room. They are only the size of a credit card width, so they may be hiding anywhere. If there are just too many crevices that could be their hideout, seal the ones within reach first.
Next, you will want to vacuum the other cracks that you didn’t seal. Any bug that is hiding in there will definitely get sucked inside the vacuum machine. After finishing, do not throw away the bugs from the bag. You have to kill them so that they won’t return for revenge.
Bed bugs can’t survive under high temperatures. Heat the vacuum bag to at least 120 degrees Fahrenheit. Then dispose of the content.
After that, you need to take out all your mattress covers, pillow and bolster covers, and everything within your wardrobe. Wash them with hot water in order to kill them.
When you do this, some of them will run away, back into some of the cracks that you weren’t able to seal. Get your insecticide and spray into the holes. You can pour hot water too if you don’t mind mopping the whole room.
