Nightmare House 2 is a free, horrorthemed firstpersonshooter game, and the direct successor of the first classic horror map pack Nightmare House. Nightmare House 2 is based on the Source Engine by Valve, also considered a modification (mod) made for Half Life: Episode 2.??The story resumes with the player lost and confused in a hospital known as Never Lose Hope. With no understanding of how you came to be there, theres only a vague memory of the mysterious, haunting girl from Nightmare House. Soon it will be difficult to determine between a dream and reality. How long will it take you to realize that escape is not an option

It says the story resumes because you must complete Nighmare House before making your way to the Hospital in Nightmare House 2.

Personal Notes
This is a single player Half Life 2 Ep 2 Mod. It seems to work perfectly. If you raise the mouse sensitivity and click the smooth mouse movement box the game is very fluid. What you would expect on Windows. Of course I tried to push the graphics beyond the capabilities of my GPU and encountered great lag. The suggested settings are always a good idea. I also lower the resolution to 1152X720 and increase the field of view

This port utilizes Wine v1.3.23. There are known mouse issues but I have been successful in using this engine for several ports. If the mouse fouls up on you simply shut down the program and restart. Whenever I came across this issue this method has worked everytime

If you run into issues with the mouse locking up and opineting downward at all times and the above method will not work for you, or if menu selection is rather difficult, please download the Wineskin Winery Application and use the game ports Wineskin interface to change the WineskinEngine.bundle. You will have to download the bundles using Wineskin Winery before you attempt to switch out the engines. The suggested engine to use would be 1.3.18 or lower.everything above that version has an Xinput2 implementation that seems to cause issues in MacOS X.

Known Issues:
I havent come across any yet.
Half Life 2 Ep 2 is rated Platinum at the App DB.
This would be rated platinum performance.

Installation Instructions:
Mount the Nightmare House 2 dmg file
Drag the application to your preferred gaming folder
Double click the game to launch
