Series 60 Theme Studio (for Symbian OS) is a PC tool to create theme
packages for Series 60-based devices (from Series 60 release 2.0 onwards).
The tool allows the user to mix or change the properties of ready-made
theme components and bitmap images. However, the tool is not meant to
create or extensively edit bitmaps. A commercial pixel paint program
should be used together with the tool for significant image editing. The
created theme packages can be deployed to a device via infrared, or can be
saved to hard drive and then deployed to a device using some other method
supported by both the phone and the PC (e.g. bluetooth).

System Requirements:

- Microsoft Windows XP Professional SP 2 or Microsoft Windows 2000 Professional SP3
- 600 MHz or faster processor
- 256 MB RAM
- 50 MB disc space
- Display supporting at least 16 bit color at 1280 x 1024 resolution
- JRE version 1.4.2 (included in the installation package)


Compatibility Issues:
=====================
- Theme packages created with the tool are compatible with phones
based on Series 60 release 2.0 onwards.

Known Problems and Limitations:
===============================
- Certain indexed bitmaps (like 4 bit 10 colour indexed images) show incorrectly on
the phone, even though the tool shows them correctly. As a workaround, you can use
non-indexed bitmaps instead.
- Changing the PC display resolution while Series 60 Theme Studio is open may left
some items hidden in the tool. Change PC display resolution before opening
Series 60 Theme Studio.
