James Cameron's Avatar: The Game is a 2009 third-person action video game prequel to James Cameron's film of the same name. The game was developed by Ubisoft Montreal and released on the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, PC, Wii and Nintendo DS on December 1, 2009, with a PSP version released later on December 8, 2009. It was announced by Ubisoft that it would be using the same technology as the film to be displayed in stereoscopic 3D.

Known Issues:
-When "SHADOWING" is set to anything higher than medium, the sky will become black.
-ATI: Some texture issues; 'white' animals (copter, teleporter)

STATUS:

Installation: copy the app to the Applications folder. Use the k3ygen under windows (it doesn't work with CrossOver)

Personal Notes:
I played fine with medium display settings. This game is worth trying because the graphics are pretty good, even on low. If you liked the movie, you should try it.

In the process of porting this game and trying to get it to work, I experienced no sound in the game. I have a NVIDIA 9400m graphics card.I fixed this by using the Config Utility to set the audio "Hardware Acceleration" to "Emulation" instead of "Full" and set the "Default Sample Rate" to "48000."

My Theory: If you have no sound, possibly as a result of my changes, maybe with an ATI card, try changing these settings back.

HOW TO:
1. Right Click and Select "Showing Package Contents"
2. Open Wineskin.app
3. Advanced-Tools-Config Utilitity (winecfg)
4. Go to tab labeled "Audio"
5. Under DirectSound section, change "Hardware Acceleration" to FULL and "Default Sample Rate" to "44100".

Great! Addictive and grand. Love the gameplay. Absolutely amazing but the gameplay is so much fun environment. You can fire arrows at enemies and ledges from the tree and there's just so much I just loved playing variety. Thanks for this great game.
