New Nightmare Gearing Up

- Freddy Krueger will soon be returning to filmgoers' nightmares.

Shock Till You Drop confirmed with producer Brad Fuller that production company Platinum Dunes is set to produce the reboot of A Nightmare on Elm Street. Fuller says filming could commence as soon as spring 2009.

"It's not Freddy cracking jokes. We want to make a horrifying movie. The concept is so scary, don't fall asleep or you'll die. This guy gets you when you're most vulnerable, in your sleep. We love that," Fuller said. "That's the basis of the movie. It'll be most similar to the first one but in terms of kills and dreams we'll borrow from the entire series."

The producer also confirmed that Robert Englund will not be back as Freddy and that the role will be recast.
