Nice fish, but low pic quality - u used your phone? Try to use the macro feature ot take the shots form a further distance.

I've never heard about the female helping really. but you must have done a good conditioning job since they female didn't really get harmed. But she still needs to be removed or she will be harmed.

Nice fish you have. As per my opinion it is fighter fish. Because I have also one like this. She is in red. I really like to play with it. It is very manageable pet that is small fish. I really like photos of your fish. It is really very nice.
