Wii Sports exceeds 3 three millions in Japan
The game sports Wii Sports, the title that comes standard with the console from Nintendo in our market (and elsewhere) but is sold separately in Japan has surpassed the mark of three million consoles sold.
The game reaches this figure to 78 weeks of its launch in December 2006, representing a pace of sales continued since then. For its part, the Wii console has exceeded the figure of six million consoles sold in Japan, so that about half of Japanese users bought this title sports including tennis, golf, bowling and boxing.
In addition, Wii Sports thus becomes the first game console to achieve the triple platinum (three million copies sold) in Japan.
