Default Social Advertising on Facebook

Facebook is used by over 500 million people. This audience potential is pretty high, whatever your targeted demographic may be.

Typically, ads on Facebook are run daily, and according to the model you’ve chosen; whether it be CPC or CPM, and are set within a maximum daily budget. (The maximum daily budget is a benefit because it disables the challenge of accidentally overspending.)
Overall, setting up a facebook ad is quick and simple , and as stated before there are two methods to go about obtaining traffic. These are Cost Per Click (CPC) or Cost Per Thousand Impressions (CPM). A great thing about these forms of traffic is your ability to choose a range of options when setting up your advertising account that can target ads specifically to either as direct or as broad of an audience as you would like.

These targeted ads usually appear on a small box in the right sidebar of Facebook pages, displaying information, an image, link, and promotions to the chosen destination.
What Should Be In Your Ad?
Your ads can be made up of a URL; which could be your Facebook page, a website/blog, or any landing page, an ad title (the max being 25 characters), the body text of your ad (the max being about 135 characters), and an image.
Regarding the image, it’s best to choose colors that can attract people to click your ad, but not being too bright or tacky as to offset a potential customer’s interest. The good thing about content and images is that Facebook attempts to make it easy by making suggestions via the link it provides.

Customizing Your Ad:

Getting specific in an Ad is all Facebook Advertising is about. The trick is to be as targeted as possible to ensure better results. This can be done by configuring your targeted area based upon area and audience. Since Facebook is worldwide, you can zero in upon things such as location (country/city), age, their gender, marital status, languages, interests, existing Facebook Friends, and other factors. A great thing about Facebook is it gives you a running reach of your ad; depending upon the demographic you chose, and also makes suggestions for budget/cost. Ultimately, organizing and managing this aspect is based upon what budget is going to be best.

Is Facebook Worth It?

The ROI in Facebook is dependent upon the nature of the product and the targeted audience. A methodical approach should be implemented, like testing, adapting accordingly, and making necessary changes as you see better results. Doing these things is essential if you want to achieve success in any kind of paid traffic medium, especially in Facebook.

It’s important to keep in mind that Facebook is still social media, and so marketing efforts should be information and value driven, because the goal is to appeal to them not to “hard-sell”.

Facebook's ad system will run what it calls Social Ads, this from your friend's social action - such as movie rentals - and advertisers with the information, the information shows the most "relevant" ads to you. These ads may appear in your news feed or in the advertising, banners or leaflets left column. This is where things get interesting. These ads will not rely on you to go "as friends " absurd actions of advertisers. This is very great thing about the face book.

Default Social Advertising on Facebook

Well, In my opinion Social Advertising on Facebook you to know that is a cheaper way of advertising compared to other advertising systems. Basically, you should know how much to spend and who opt for a scheme of cost per click will cost less and just be reminded to check their ad clicks to not be put to a stop if the clicks are not enough. One of the major benefits of advertising on Facebook is that the advertiser would be able to access potential customers in any location.

Default Social Advertising on Facebook

Facebook has announced its new advertising program, a bold attempt at harnessing users’ behavior to serve them more relevant forms of advertising.

Advertisers will be able to buy pages on Facebook, then add their own photos, music, videos and third-party applications — similar to actions normal users can make on their Facebook pages. Users will be able to add advertisers as friends, making themselves “fans” of companies. Now, if you think this sounds somewhat strange, you’re not alone. It is. But Facebook is under pressure to make money, so its pushing the envelope on advertising practices. Stay with me, as I explain.

Advertisers will also be able to include a button, or “Beacon,” on their own sites. Users who click on these buttons will effectively share the advertising information with their friends on Facebook, via their activity feeds. Again, this sounds far-fetched as a successful advertising strategy, no mistaking it.

We wrote about the gist of this announcement last Friday.

Just like with your friends, when you add a company as a friend, write in its wall, upload photos or use a third party application on the page, these actions may be displayed in your news feed and mini-feed (what exactly is shared is part of Facebook’s secretive algorithm), as well as in the news feed of your friends. Information from Beacon will appear in your news feeds.

Facebook’s ad system will also run what it is calling Social Ads, which take social actions from your friends — such as a movie rental — and combine that information with an advertiser’s message to display the most “relevant” ads to you. These ads could appear in your news feeds or on the left-hand column as banner or flyer ads. This is where things get interesting. These ads don’t depend on you taking the preposterous action of “befriending” an advertiser. They are triggered after you take a mere action (renting a video). The risk, however, is that users will bristle when they get hit with such ads. Marketing partners include Facebook-backer Microsoft, Coca-Cola, CBS Corp. and others.

However, testing shows that Social Ads are getting double the click through rate of Face book previous banner ads, Forrester Research analyst Jeremiah Ow yang tells us. Check out Forrester’s analysis here for more. Owyang argues these ads could be a new way to tap into word-of-mouth marketing — peers trust each other the most (see below).
