CHRONOCROSS, the sequel to theSNES favorite CHRONO TRIGGER, is one of themost ambitious role-playinggames ever made. The story spans twodiscs and follows the story of Serge, ayoung man who is able to crossdimensions. Suddenly he is pulledbetween worlds, trying to figure outhis own past at the same time. Thegraphics are bright and beautiful,utilizing the PlayStationscapabilities to the fullest. The polygonalcharacter models are hugeand detailed, and the pre-rendered backgroundsare immaculatelydetailed. The music is composed and arranged byYasunori Mitsuda, andfeatures very realistic-sounding synthesizers. Thebattle systemrevolves around Elements, which are used to grant magicalpowers, aswell as to summon huge monsters.
