Cryostasis Complete Edition v2-Xiaopang pc [Full ISO/FPS/2009]
![]() Cryostasis Complete Edition v2-Xiaopang pc [Full ISO/FPS/2009] Xiaopang's Quality Releases | presents Cryostasis -- Complete Edition Total Size: 3.06 GB ---------- About this release ---------- Cryostasis -- Complete Edition (here on referred to as Cryo CE) is a fan-assembled piece of work, that opts to not just give you all available features of the game in one neat package, but also allows you to modify the game in an automated way. It started out with creating mods to enhance the performance. It quickly went from there to creating a version with all languages that would also be valid and up to date right after installation. This version of Cryostasis is superior to all available retail versions of the game. Check the included features for more information. ---------- Features ---------- - Cryo CE includes all available localizations: Russian, English, German, French, Italian and Spanish! - All available patches have already been applied! - Cryo CE is based on the american version, hence no crack is necessary and your system is not poisoned with Securom or Starforce - Cryo CE comes with my own Localizer tool to enable you to not just switch languages after installation easily, but also to mix languages within the game. Want russian voiceovers with english subtitles and french textures? Now you can! It also allows you to uninstall localizations, so you can install the game with the languages you want and then slim it down to your liking if you need the space. - Includes my previously released Performance Mods with an exclusive setup tool just for this edition. It allows you to experience performance increases of up to 300 per cent! - Manuals for all languages have been included - The dreadful logo playback when the game started was deactivated and the logos were kicked out to conserve space. Cryo CE uses its own installer, which is superior to the original one: - Install as many languages or as few as you want. The original installer only allowed you to install one language. If you wanted to try a new one, you had to uninstall and make a complete re-install - Original Installer didn't place an uninstallation link in the start menu under Vista. The new one remedies that. - You can install your game anywhere you want, just as it should be. The original installer always used the same location unless it couldn't get informations about your free space, which forced it into an advanced mode. No such bullshit here. You always have full control. - The original installer was error riddled and produced error messages while copying files under certain conditions. - Installing a language without included voiceovers resulted in a silent game only with proper subs. This problem can't occur now, since all localizations are included and even if it happened, the Localizer tool could remedy that. - Cryo CE produces a fully valid installation, meaning that you will be able to update the game, should new patches ever be released! - The original installer forced DirectX, Adobe Acrobat Reader and Nvidia Physx Driver installations on you. They were left out to conserve space and because they become outdated too quickly, so no such burden here! - Old Installer was incapable of deleting the old game folder including subfolders, as well as registry values, leaving behind many traces on your hard drive. No such sloppy work here. Everything that is installed, will be removed upon uninstallation! ---------- Installation ---------- Cryo CE's requirements are pretty low, much lower than what the manual says anyway. Minimum Requirements: - Any DirectX 9 Video Card with Shader 2.0 support and 256MB VRAM - 1GB RAM (XP), 2GB (Vista) - 4.6GB free HDD space (single language) up to 5.6GB (all languages) - CPU-Power is of lesser importance. Even weak CPUs can put enough workload on your GFX-card, so don't worry about that. Check out the original specs in the included manual Game was tested on Radeon x1600 Pro, which is a lot less powerful than what the manual specified as minimum requirements. The game ran with 25+ fps at 640x480 without applied performance patch. Start up the Autorun Menu and click on Install. During installation you can decide which languages you want in the game. Each one will add 200MB to the final installation size. Use the Localizer if you want to uninstall any of the languages later. You can also run the installer at any time to install additional languages. The game is pre-set to english, so if you decide to not include that language with your installation, you will have to run the Localizer after installation and set the game to a properly installed language, or you might face bugs or crashes! For uninstallation, click the uninstallation link in the created in the start menu, or find the uninstallation option Control Panel -> Programs. Since this edition is based on the american retail release, you will need to install US-versions of patches, should there ever be new ones. Cryo CE also fixed a small bug in the game. When you started a new game without having anistropic filtering enabled, then you might have only seen a black screen instead of the prologue. While Cryo CE installs the game with the same standard settings as the retail version, anisotropic filtering has been enabled to prevent this bug. After the intro you can turn it off if your system needs the extra power, but make sure to turn it back on before finishing the game to see the epilogue. ---------- Localizer ---------- The Localizer allows you to set the languages in the game. You can run it any time you want. You can activate newly installed languages with the Localizer. It will also tell you if the language you want to use is not installed. Start the Localizer by finding its link in Start Menu -> Programs -> Cryostasis -> Localizer. You'll be greeted with the main Interface. Choose the option you want to change (voiceovers, subtitles, or textures) by entering the appropriate character into the prompt and then choose the language. The Localizer also shows you your current settings and changes take effect immediately. The menu language will change immediately, but you will have to restart the game so that it can initialize new voice overs. The Localizer also offers you to uninstall any language for any of the option. First choose "Delete Language", then the option you want to get rid of, e.g. voiceovers and then the language. This way you can delete only parts of a language. For example, if you want to play the game in Russian, you can uninstall the English voiceovers while keeping the English subs. Once you're satisfied with the settings, press Q to quit the program. ---------- Performance Manager ---------- The Performance Manager allows you to easily tweak the game by enabling my performance profiles. The profiles edit settings that in parts can not be set through the in-game menu. Start the Performance Manager by finding its link in Start Menu -> Programs -> Cryostasis -> Performance Manager. You'll be greeted with the main screen that gives you several options: ---------- 5.1. Standard Profile ---------- Standard: This resets the game's settings back to the original install values. Very useful if you messed with the game's settings and want get back to zero. ---------- 5.2. High Performance Profile ---------- High Performance: Select this profile to get a massive boost in performance of up to 300%. this is what will happen: The game's shader will be set to 2.0. - The resolution will be set to 640x480 (originally, the game only supports 800x600 as minimum resolution). - Hardware Physx Rendering will be activated (will have no effect on incompatible cards). - Physics rendering of liquids and cloth will be deactivated - All kinds of shadow rendering, motion blur, water reflections, fur rendering, vsync, anisotropic filtering and antialiasing will be deactivated. - Lifetime for sparks has been reduced. Also makes the game look more realistic (requires shader 4 and activated advanced physics to take effect) - Icicle shattering has been lowered to a more realistic and less hardware straining level (16) Sounds like you're missing out on much? Well, let me tell you that the differences in visual quality between this profile and the original settings are minimal. Lots of the effects are only applied to a few objects and therefore hardly noticable. Yet, they put a lot of strain on graphics cards, even newer ones. This profile also gets rid of many particle effects, which is what requires the most processing power. ATI-Users should especially profit from that, since the game only makes use of hardware physics on NVidia cards. Once you have chosen the profile, you can specify further settings such as resolution, shader model and texture quality in the in-game menu. Most of you will need to do that, because the profile uses a FOV for 16:10 monitors. Even when re-activating certain features in the in-game menu, the features you can't access from there will still stay deactivated. If you want to max out your visual quality with this profile, then raise the shader model and the texture quality. ---------- 5.3. Maximum Performance Profile ---------- For those of you, who are running on fairly low-spec systems, including laptops, you might need a little more power. The Maximum Performance profile should suit your need. This profile incorporates the settings of the High Performance profile and deactivates further features: Sets the number of breaking Icicle parts to only 1 (originally 64) - Reduces lightsource count - Deactivates sun (only in outdoor scenes). This should result in an even glow. - Gets rid of most physics in the game. Excellent for weak comps. - Deactivates many visual post-processing effects. All in all, it changes too many settings to list them here. Just know the following: The change in visual quality is noticable and in my opinion not worth it. This is just for those who cherish framerate over graphics, or those who absolutely want to play the game without having the proper hardware. However, many people with high-end cards also complained about frame drops. This profile should get rid of them, or at least lessen their impact. Just like the High Performance profile you can activate additional settings in the in-game menu. There's a catch though. The game seems to store some of the graphics settings in the savegames. That means that after loading a savegame, most of the new settings will be ignored. You'll have to start a new game to experience their full benefits. If you really don't want to start over, you'll have to start a new game and use the level jump cheat: Open the console by pressing the key on the left of "1? on your keyboard - Enterthe following cheat into the console: map biosxx The xx is a numeral value for the level. Level 1 has value 20. You can check out all valid level names in the "data\areas"-folder of your Cryostasis installation - After that, use the "give all" cheat to get all weapons, or use the "give watergun" cheat to get all weapons + the watergun (give all doesn't give you all.now isn't that something.). If you like to play the game genuinely, you might want to think over the weapon cheats and use melee attacks instead. The game isn't hard and you can pick up tons of weapons in most levels. Also, I haven't fully tested this profile, since I would have had to beat the game with it. I can run the game just fine maxed out, so I don't want to enjoy it in such a butchered way. Just be warned that you might experience some bugs in the game thanks to it. If you do encounter them, reset the settings back to standard. If that doesn't help, see if a patch is available. ---------- 5.3. Advanced Settings ---------- This option will give you access to all of the almost 60 flags that the two performance profiles access. It is NOT recommended messing around there, because the flags are not explained and modifying them in an unsupported way can break the gameplay. There is also no check for the validity of the values you enter, so if you screw up, the game's reaction can range from not caring to crashing. You'll get two pages of settings to modify. The second page contains some settings, that you will also find on the first page. That is due to the fact that these can be set on different occasions in the game. The settings on the second page are being set on a much lower level, than those of the first page. As with the maximum performance profile, you should begin a new game if you can't see any effects. Also, some options might not work at all, or only in combination with other settings. Remember that you can always return back to standard settings if you screw up. However, there is no guarantee that you will be able to resume the game if those faulty settings were saved into the savegames! ![]() ![]() Download Filesonic: Code:
