The World in Crysis 2 is in ruins - Save New York City from destruction. A series of air disasters has driven the whole of human society to the brink of collapse and a huge army of aliens returns to the blue planet. Fearsome creatures dominate the urban canyons of the Big Apple and pave their way at breakneck speed through the city like an epidemic. All systems, electricity and communications to sink in the wild chaos. The skyline is burning in ruins. This is NYC, as you have never seen it.

Neither paramilitary security forces nor the might of the U.S. Army can put up a resistance to the invaders. Those who choose not to escape is inevitable doomed to die. To survive in this inferno, it requires a special technology, a technology, as it was even by the most modern military units used yet.

Only one man will have the funds. A super-soldier equipped with the Nanosuit 2 - the war technology of the future. He will face the task of preserving humanity from destruction and make their way through the urban jungle of New York.
