Google and Blog Comments

I know there's a lot of threads and discussions on importance of blog comments and if blog comments are important for good ranking in SERP.

It's a fact that blog comments on related and quality blogs are very helpful and certainly help ranking and there're a lot of blog comment providers even here on DP, offering blog comments on high PR page (even PR 6 and 7).

The question is - how important are the comments on high ranking but irrelevant blogs where there're lots of comments and most of them are just spam?

Links are always good, but it is always ROI and Google knows Blog comment links are easily accessible and thus the amount of benefits you may not get paid to work on it.After saying it does not mean that when you read something interesting, you should not comment with a link But the goal should not be connected, but comment

It was the aspect that blog comment is important. We know that it was the factor that your blog was alive and many are interesting to read your blog. Blog comment takes a good habit to make you stay updated for your blog.
